temporary update

hey everyone!

i know the daily posts have been missing. I've been in a bit of a funk - nothing in particular, just a weird place where things have been crazy and stressful and less than stellar. mentally, i just wasn't all there and positive. I do have pictures, and i do plan to backdate all the ones i've missed. please be patient! I'll be back :) thanks for sticking with me! :)

Day 154 - June 3, 2010

So today we're gonna do something a little different - two images! I only put two because the storm clouds today were AMAZING and I couldn't decide which one I liked better, so you all get to see both of them! Along with my obvious fascination with flowers, clouds are also extremely intriguing to me! One of my favorite parts of summer is when you get all these storm fronts moving in that create these gorgeous thunderhead clouds (or cumulus nimbus if I'm not mistaken!) I loved the contrast of the big heavy intense clouds with the light fluffy streaks in the first picture, and then foreboding look of the second cloud. Bring on the thunderstorms! You sure won't have me complaining :)

Day 153 - June 2, 2010

Another trip to the grocery store, and another image of beautifully colorful stacked produce to photograph! Today, we have these beautiful red bell peppers, which are some of my favorite vegetables - crisp, refreshing and sweet! I love putting them in a pasta salad for crunch, or just slicing up a few to snack on with some ranch dressing. Usually, when I go to a gathering and there's a veggie platter with red bell peppers, I tend to eat almost all of the pepper first. They're just so tasty! So I'm curious then, what's everyone's favorite vegetable to eat? Are you a zucchini fan? Perhaps artichoke? What about tomatoes? I'd love to hear from you!

Day 152 - June 1, 2010

So earlier on in my blog, I posted an image of this bush that is outside my house in the winter - with the snow and the red berries. Here it is during the summer, with reddish green leaves and thorns that are far less ouchy than in the winter time when it's all dried up. Somewhere at the base of this bush is our resident garden snake, that at random times likes to pop out and startle the crap out of us when we walk up the walkway to our door. So if you're ever visiting, just be aware that he's around, and watch your step!

Until Tomorrow,
