Day 120 - April 30, 2010

Clouds are so intriguing to me - and I love when the clouds make cool patterns like this. It's like cloud corduroy! We were at Ang's tennis match today and the weather was beautiful. It was warm, but not too warm, a slight breeze, and these awesome corduroy clouds. Her match wasn't until much later in the afternoon, when the sky was a bit overcast and the sun had set a bit more, but it was still nice to be outside enjoying the weather. It must be what my parents felt like coming to my soccer games all those years ago in the crisp fall weather or the mild spring weather. As much as I love winter and all the winter activities, it's nice to have warm weather and long days :)

Day 84 - March 25, 2010

I always remember when I was a kid, my mom would tell me that a sure sign of spring arriving was the crocuses that popped up everywhere. They were always the first flower to bloom and let us all know that winter was gone, and that the warm weather was on it's way. I noticed today right by my mailbox that a few little crocuses had sprung up letting me know that the snowboarding equipment needs to get stored away, and that soon I can break out the kayaks and head to the lakes and rivers to paddle around. As much as I love winter - there is something just so fun about spring! This year, we're going to take up hiking as well - which should be fun! So here's to spring!

Day 67 - March 8, 2010

It looks like spring is nearly upon us! Today was just a beautiful day! Temperature was around 60 degrees, there was a light breeze, and the sun was shining. Nothing better than to grill up some dinner on a nice spring evening. Sure, Eric and I are known to grill year round - especially during football season. Sometimes we'll be out there in snow or sleet getting food ready for our guests! But today was a different story. It was still mild tonight when we set out to make dinner. I love winter - but there's something wonderful about inter fading away and the prospect of nicer, warmer weather! By the way - the kielbasa was super yummy!
